The PREVENTABLE project is excited to announce its role in the release of the French version of a children’s book about Li-Fraumeni syndrome (LFS), a genetic condition that increases the risk of various cancers. This initiative supports PREVENTABLE’s mission to make Rare Tumour Risk Syndromes (RTRS) more visible and to disseminate prevention recommendations. The Association Française du Syndrome de Li-Fraumeni will distribute the book widely, helping affected families and the public better understand LFS and its challenges. Designed for children yet meaningful for all ages, the book raises awareness and fosters a deeper understanding of cancer predispositions.

Created by Amy Peasgood, who has LFS, and inspired by her daughter Ruby, the book explains the condition in an engaging and accessible way. Already available in English, German, Spanish, and Japanese, the French version ensures vital information reaches French-speaking families in regions such as France, Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg, and several African countries.

This collaborative effort marks significant progress in supporting LFS families and raising awareness of RTRS.

The French Kindle version of the book is now available for purchase on the online store.
