On October 4, 2024, the PREVENTABLE project consortium gathered for a productive meeting in CHU Becquerel, Rouen, France, to discuss the progress of various work packages (WPs) and exchange valuable insights on the project’s future directions. The day began with a warm welcome and an introduction to the agenda, setting the stage for a collaborative and insightful session.
The first session provided detailed updates on WPs 1 to 4. Each WP leader their presentations, followed by a brief Q&A session. This session allowed team members to review progress, address challenges, and discuss the next steps.
Following a short break, Session 2 covered updates on WPs 5 to 7, continuing the theme of progress tracking and active discussion. The general PREVENTABLE team meeting that followed was particularly important, as the consortium reviewed feedback from external evaluators and discussed strategies for addressing their recommendations. The day concluded with closing remarks, summarizing the key takeaways and reiterating the project’s collective commitment to advancing research on Rare Tumour Risk Syndromes (RTRS).
The meeting was an essential checkpoint in ensuring that the project remains aligned with its goals, fostering collaboration, and refining approaches to improve patient outcomes.
